Comprehensive all-round practical travel guide that also boasts plenty of insight into local history and culture. Includes detailed notes and maps on the GR20 trail and illustrated sections on 'Traditional' and 'Wild' Corsica. Recommendations cover all budgets with a bias towards the lower end.
Offering great insight into Corsican life without scrimping on the practicalities, this typically excellent Cadogan companion would perfectly suit the visitor keen to mix culture with good living.
Beautifully presented sightseeing companion crammed with colour photographs and illustrations supported by succint, well-written text. The 'Survival Guide' at the back covers more practical concerns such as where to stay and eat.

A bulky book full of sumptuous if somewhat dated photography. Introductory chapters make for interesting reading and the sightseeing suggestions are good, though practical information is scarce.
A regularly-updated guide for a comfortable exploration. Michelin are best on hotels and restaurants but provide ample context to back it up. Regions are arranged alphabetically.
A reliable guide to the best hotels and restaurants in the region, designed for an independent traveller on a reasonable budget. The listings are symbol-based with short descriptions in French.

The four cities become somewhat jumbled in this series of lists covering, among other things, galleries, beers and chocolatiers. The recommendations are spot on however and the pull-out map most useful.
Self-conscious guide that covers a great deal in a short space, and perhaps suffers as a result, particularly as regards Brussels. The pull-out map however is excellent.
