This Footprint guide is an excellent companion to their East Coast Australia guide. Very useful for accommodation and restaurants, with some good suggestions for excusions and activities from the larger towns.
Although this guide may be lacking in photographs and detailed maps compared with the Lonely Planet edition, it more than makes up for it with a wealth of useful information, particularly on accommodation and restaurants. Well researched and reliable.
An excellent guide for the traveller on any budget (though backpackers may find their needs better met by the Rough Guide) combining practical detail with in-depth historical and cultural information on each region. Particularly strong on the South Island.
This is a very good guide to city breaks in Valencia, with the focus on shopping and seeing the sights. There are small but useful sections on accommodation, arts & entertainment and the history of Valencia.
The Footprint guides are excellent with a useful mix of practical and cultural information. This is also one of the only guides to include Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Half the book is dedicated to Vietnam and there is a specific chapter on Angkor Wat.
A good, reliable guide aimed at a slightly higher end of the market than the backpacker. Includes practical tips on restaurants and hotels for any budget, as well as detailed historical and cultural information.
