An event with

Erling Kagge

Philosophy for Polar Explorers

Tuesday 12th November 2019 at 7:00pm  |  Daunt Books Marylebone

Erling Kagge was the first man to reach the Earth’s poles by foot – the North, the South and the summit of Everest. Following the huge success of his wonderful slim books Silence and Walking, Erling will be with us explore how the expeditions he has undertaken have shaped his view of the world and how survival in the most extreme conditions can give perspective for life.

‘As an explorer Erling Kagge is world class; as a writer he is equally gifted’ Sir Ranulph Fiennes

‘Erling Kagge is a philosophical adventurer – or perhaps an adventurous philosopher’ The New York Times

We welcome Geordie Stewart to pose the questions to Erling.  As well as climbing Everest, Geordie is the youngest Briton to climb the Seven Summits and last year returned from a solo cycle tour around the world that took him across four continents, covering 22,500 miles over 430 days.
