Wednesday 3rd May at 7:00pm | Daunt Books Marylebone | Tickets £5.00
Elliot Ackerman is a former White House Fellow and Marine, who has covered the Syrian civil war since 2013. His new novel Dark at the Crossing takes place on the Syrian border with Turkey, where a young idealist is robbed on his way to fight Assad. After being taken in by a refugee family, he begins to reconsider the cause for which he wants to fight.
'What emerges is a dark and compelling theory of war from someone who knows it intimately' - Wall Street Journal
We are delighted to welcome back Diana Darke to chat to Elliot. Her book My House in Damascus has just been updated and she remains one of Britain's most insightful commentators on the Syrian conflict.
