Thursday 4th May at 6:30pm | Daunt Books Hampstead | Tickets £5.00
Jessica Lee is a courageous young wild swimmer – breaking the ice in her local lakes to swim throughout the year. She has now written a book about wild swimming in the countryside surrounding Berlin, where she is based. The book Turning charts her experiences in 52 lakes surrounding the city.
Jessica grew up in Nova Scotia, where she discovered her love for swimming but has also spent time living in London where she frequented Hampstead Ladies Pond. When asked about her favourite swimming holes she describes swimming on the Heath as having "the most beautiful and secluded swims in a lovely community of badass women."
On the 4th May, the book's publication day, Jessica Lee will be re-visiting Hampstead to talk about her new book giving us an insight into wild swimming and cold-water therapy.
