Wednesday 1st March at 7:00pm | Daunt Books Marylebone | Tickets £10.00
Keggie Carew rightly won this year's Costa Biography award for this fascinating account of her father's life. Unorthodox and charismatic, Tom Carew was a guerilla agent during the Second World War and nicknamed 'Lawrence of Burma' for his heroics.
In peacetime, he lived on his wits and charm but it was only when his memory started failing that his daughter, Keggie, decided to draw the pieces of his life together, to gain a full picture of the much loved but chaotic father she knew or thought she knew.
We are very pleased to welcome journalist, Caroline Sanderson, associate editor of The Bookseller, to chat to Keggie about the book.
