Wednesday 5th April at 7:00pm | Downstairs at Daunt Books Marylebone | Tickets free
Leonardo Padura is Cuba's most celebrated living novelist, andHeretics is the fifth of his best-selling novels featuring police inspector Mario Conde, who enjoys a drink and would rather be a writer. This time Conde is on the trail of a looted masterpiece. The book is both a detective story and a historical drama and as usual the moral complexity of modern day Havana is brilliantly realised.
We welcome literary critic Gaby Wood to talk to Leonardo about the book. Gaby is the Literary Director to the Booker Prize Foundation and former head of books at The Daily Telegraph.
'The perfect blend of historical, social, and espionage fiction' El Pais
